FAQ

Common questions

Is this a set course?

No — it’s personalized mentoring. We start with what you’re already learning (school course, bootcamp, or self-study), identify the sticking points, and then coach you through them with real-world examples.

Do I need special hardware?

Usually not. Your current computer is likely fine — 16 GB RAM is ideal, but 8 GB will work for most topics. Windows, MAC and Linux machines are all usable! Hardware/robotics are completely optional and may require specific purchases. In some cases we can even provide a cloud-hosted virtual machine with the right tools pre-installed, so you can focus on learning instead of setup (no extra cost).

What ages do you work with?

Best fit starts around 9–10 years old and up. We support elementary students who are curious, high school learners tackling coding/cyber courses, post-secondary students, and adults reskilling for career changes.

Do I need prior experience?

No. We mentor complete beginners through to advanced learners. Whether you’re just opening a terminal for the first time or deploying projects in the cloud, we’ll meet you at your level.

How are sessions delivered?

Sessions are typically online via Google Meet & Discord. Local in-person options may be available depending on location. Sessions are usually 60–120 minutes and can be scheduled weekly, bi-weekly, or on-demand before deadlines.

What if I only need short-term help?

That’s fine! We can do single-session coaching before a big assignment, exam prep, or project deadline. Long-term mentoring is available for those who want steady progress, but there’s no long-term commitment required.

How much does it cost?

Pricing is simple and flat-rate. Small group sessions are discounted so friends or classmates can learn together. Contact us for current rates and available time slots.

Do you give grades or certificates?

No — this isn’t a formal course. We focus on building skills, confidence, and practical understanding. If you need help improving grades in a school course, we support you behind the scenes so your work shines.
